UTM builder
Campaign URL
Fill in the URL, source, medium and campaign.
How it works
UTM parameters tell analytics tools where a visit came from. utm_source names the site or sender (newsletter, linkedin), utm_medium the kind of traffic (email, cpc, social) and utm_campaign the campaign. utm_term, utm_content and utm_id are optional.
The builder keeps any parameters and #fragment already in your link, replaces UTM values that were there before, and encodes spaces and symbols so the link survives being pasted anywhere.
Use lowercase and the same spelling every time: most analytics tools, LogZuno included, treat Email and email as two different mediums.
Questions
Which UTM parameters are required?
None are required by browsers, but analytics tools expect utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign together. GA4 assigns channels mostly from source and medium together; a visit that matches none of its rules is reported as Unassigned.
Should I tag links to my own site?
No. UTM tags on internal links start a new session and overwrite the real source of the visit.
