Customer retention rate calculator
Customer retention rate

(E − N) ÷ S
Churn over the same period
7.5%
How it works
Customer retention rate = (customers at the end − new customers acquired during the period) ÷ customers at the start × 100. Subtracting new customers means growth can't hide the customers you lost.
Retention and churn add up to 100% only when every customer is counted the same way in both. Product retention (do users come back and use it) is a different measure; LogZuno shows it as cohort retention from events.
Questions
What is the difference between customer retention and user retention?
Customer retention counts paying accounts that stay. User retention counts people who come back and use the product in later periods, usually shown as a cohort table.
