Privacy Policy

What personal data LogZuno handles, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and how to use your rights.

Updated

1. Who we are

LogZuno is operated by Palzin LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit logzuno.app, use the LogZuno app at platform.logzuno.app, the mobile app or the API, and what we do with it.

We have two roles:

  • Controller for data about our own customers and visitors: your account, billing details, support emails and how you use LogZuno.
  • Processor for the data our customers send to LogZuno about their own users and website visitors (“customer data”). We process it only on the customer's instructions, under the Data Processing Addendum. If you are one of their users, contact that company first; we will help them answer you.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored only as an Argon2id hash), two-factor and passkey settings, and your organisations, roles and invitations. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and that provider's account ID.
  • Billing data: plan, invoices, billing address and tax ID. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe; we never see the full card number.
  • Usage and security data: sign-ins, an audit log of changes to members, keys and projects, API key usage, and the device tokens of the mobile app when you turn on push notifications.
  • Communications: emails you send us and our replies.
  • Customer data: the events, pageviews, user profiles and properties our customers send. What it contains is decided by the customer.

3. Website visitors, cookies and IP addresses

logzuno.app sets no cookies and runs no advertising or third-party analytics scripts. Our web servers and Cloudflare process your IP address to deliver pages and protect the service.

The LogZuno app uses only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security token that protects forms.

When a customer's website or app sends us an event, logZuno never stores visitors' IP addresses; they are used once, at ingest, and discarded. We use the address to find the visitor's country and to check whether a request really comes from a known bot or AI crawler. The logzuno.js script sets one first-party cookie on the customer's site, pt.anonymousId, holding a random ID that lasts 30 days so visits from the same browser can be counted together. Customers are responsible for asking their visitors for any consent this requires.

4. How we use data, and why

  • To provide LogZuno (performing our contract with you): run your account, store and analyse your events, send the alerts and reports you set up.
  • To bill you (contract, and our legal obligations for tax and accounting records).
  • To keep LogZuno secure (legitimate interests): detect abuse, enforce rate limits, investigate incidents.
  • To contact you about your account, your trial, billing, security and changes to the service (contract and legitimate interests). We send marketing email only if you agree, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
  • To improve LogZuno (legitimate interests), using our own records of how the product is used.

5. Ask LogZuno and AI

When you use Ask LogZuno, we send OpenAI your question and the names of your events and property keys, so it can build the query. We never send your events, property values or your users' data. We don't use customer data to train AI models, and neither does OpenAI under its API terms.

6. Who we share data with

We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising. We share it only with:

  • The service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf under contracts that protect it.
  • Destinations you connect yourself, such as Slack, Discord, Telegram, email or your own webhooks, which receive the alerts you configure.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, and a buyer of our business, which would be bound by this policy.

7. How long we keep data

  • Events and pageviews: 90 days, then deleted.
  • A trial that ends without a payment: its data is deleted 30 days later.
  • Deleting an organisation deletes its projects, events and pageviews.
  • Account data: while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices.
  • Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule, so deleted data leaves them too.

8. Where data is stored

LogZuno's servers are in the United States or India, and some providers above work from the United States. When personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland goes to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.

9. Security

Each organisation's data is isolated in its own database partitions, API keys are stored as hashes, and accounts support two-factor authentication and passkeys. Security at LogZuno lists every measure.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and California law, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. You can change most account data yourself in the app.

Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We don't treat you differently for using these rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

LogZuno is a business service and isn't meant for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will email account owners before it takes effect.
