LogZuno quickstart

Start a trial, create a project, copy your ingest key and send your first event with one HTTP request.

This guide takes you from no account to an event in your live feed. It needs a terminal with curl, or any language that can make an HTTP request.

1. Start a trial and create a project

Sign up at platform.logzuno.app, create an organisation, and choose a plan. The first 7 days are free: you enter a card in Stripe Checkout and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Then create your first project. A project holds the events, users and pageviews of one product or website.

2. Copy your ingest key

When the project is created, LogZuno opens its install page and shows a Default ingest key once. Copy it now: it is stored only as a hash and can't be shown again. You can create more keys at any time under Project settings → API keys.

An ingest key can only send data. It can't read anything, so it is safe in front-end code. Keep read, admin and server keys on your server.

Export it in your terminal:

export LOGZUNO_API_KEY="paste-your-key-here"

3. Send an event

Send an event with curl
curl -sS -X POST "${LOGZUNO_ENDPOINT:-https://api.logzuno.app/v1}/log" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOGZUNO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -w "\nHTTP %{http_code}\n" \
  -d '{
    "channel": "signups",
    "event": "User signed up",
    "user_id": "user-123",
    "description": "A new user created an account",
    "icon": "🎉",
    "notify": true,
    "tags": { "plan": "growth", "source": "website" }
  }'

A 202 response means LogZuno accepted the event:

{ "message": "Event published successfully.", "type": "success", "insert_id": "…" }

4. See it arrive

Open Events in your project. The event appears in the live feed within seconds, in the signups channel, with its icon, description and tags. Because it was sent with "notify": true, members who turned on browser notifications get a push.

What to send next

  • Real events from your code. Send one where it happens: when a user signs up, pays, invites a teammate or hits an error. See sending events and the examples for your language.
  • Who did it. Add user_id to events and describe users with identify, so funnels, retention and segments work per person.
  • Your website. Add the script tag to count pageviews and real people.
  • AI visibility. Connect a collector to see which AI assistants read your pages.
